Bitwise Says ETH Staking Hits Record 33% of Supply

Bitwise said 40.2 million ETH is now staked, equal to 33% of total ETH supply and a new all-time high. The Q3 2026 Staking Report said the increase this year mainly came from institutions, including staking ETFs, corporate treasuries, and other large holders. Bitwise also reported high staking rates for Solana, Near, Hyperliquid, and Avalanche.
