Golden Finance reported that on July 24, Bitwise released its 2026 Q3 on-chain staking report. The report shows that Q2 institutional adoption saw measurable growth across three areas:

  1. Staking
Ethereum’s active staked ETH reached an all-time high of 40.2 million ETH, about 33% of total supply, mainly driven by ongoing institutional inflows.
Under Hyperliquid’s AQAv2 framework, Coinbase and Circle each staked 500k HYPE.
  2. Tokenized real-world assets (RWA)
Institutional adoption is also clearly reflected in the tokenized real-world assets (RWA) space.
Tokenized stock trading volume on Solana increased by 2,479x year over year, rising from $1.34 million in June 2025 to $500k in the same period in 2026.
The growth was mainly driven by Backpack Securities’ launch of SpaceX and Micron stock.
In addition, S&P Dow Jones Indices has authorized Hyperliquid to offer S&P 500 index trading on-chain.
The FIFA World Cup ticketing system has also been officially deployed on Avalanche’s dedicated Layer 1 network.
  3. Payments
Progress was also made in the payments sector.
In the first full quarter after Deel went live on the Tempo network, it paid approximately $30 million in compensation to 7,200 contract workers in total.
RWA-1.18%
ETH-2.16%
HYPE-1.32%
SOL-2.69%
