Tesla’s earnings report came out, and its after-hours stock price immediately dropped by more than 5%, dragging the crypto market to take a cold breath too. Although “Old Ma” didn’t sell a single Bitcoin this time, the $112 million in holdings impairment provision still poured a bucket of cold water on the hot market. BTC instantly lost its momentum to push higher, and could only keep oscillating around the $66,000 level; short-term sentiment clearly turned cooler.
But if you look closely at the order book, the in-market show isn’t over yet. This pullback looks more like the main funds are circling in their own pool. Even though selling pressure from institutions is faintly visible, and Old Ma hasn’t come out to hype or market anything for the crypto community, the buyers’ confidence hasn’t actually dispersed. The large holders are controlling the order-book rhythm; taking advantage of the earnings-report negative news to “stir the water,” they also continued accumulating at lower levels. The main structure on the long side is essentially intact.
For traders who want to catch short-term volatility, the battlefield is very clear right now. Around the narrow range of $65,590 to $66,712, both the bulls and bears are locked in a dead fight, and the VWAP average line at $65,970 is the line between life and death. Trading volume is light in the Asian session; once the price breaks below this VWAP line, it will most likely probe toward the $65,590 low. In the London session, if the price can reclaim and stand above the VWAP line again, the bulls may launch a counterattack at any time and move back to test the $66,712 high.
In terms of practical trading feel, aggressive traders can try a light long position near $66,100, with a stop-loss tightly placed at $65,839. Take-profit should be locked in in stages to secure gains. The key defense to watch is the $65,500 level: if it’s lost, the downside channel opens up and the price could likely keep slashing all the way to the $65,000 round-number support. For long-term trend traders, as long as the $65,000 “fortress” isn’t smashed through, there’s no need to scare yourself—just keep holding your positions calmly.
Right now, it’s capital moving out and big players washing the market; the big trend hasn’t broken, but small moves keep coming. If you want to make quick money, buy low and sell high within the range—move fast in and out. For steadier friends, just grab a small seat to watch, and wait for the market to expand volume and throw out a clear direction before hitting hard again. #夏日创作营 $BTC $TSLA
