THREE BIG HACKS ON 22 AND 23 JULY 2026 🚨👀💸

In about two days, three separate hacks stole about $35.5M.
When hack news comes this fast, DeFi and most altcoins do not pump easily. People get scared and keep risk low. 🧊📉
What Happened 🔴
1) @AFX_XYZ bridge (on the Arbitrum side)
About $24.15M USDC was stolen from a bridge run by AFX itself.
A bridge moves coins from one chain to another.
This was not the official @arbitrum bridge.
@blockaid_ flagged the attack. The stolen USDC later moved toward @ethereum and was swapped into ETH. 💰
2) Verus–Ethereum bridge (second hack)
About $7.54M was drained (ETH, tBTC, stablecoins and more), then swapped into ETH.
This is the second hit on the same bridge style bug. The first hit in May was about $11.5M. Different attacker wallet this time. ⚠️
3) @BSquaredNetwork / $B2
@lookonchain say about 8.59M $B2 (about $3.86M) was taken. It was sold for about 5,409 $BNB (about $3.01M), then moved toward Ethereum.
Treat this as soft until a full team report locks every detail. 🕵️
These hacks are still smaller than the giant 2026 hacks (hundreds of millions). The problem is speed: three bad headlines close together.
AI is getting stronger on both sides.
Security teams use AI to find bugs faster.
Attackers can also use AI tools to scan code, test weak bridges, and run social tricks (tricking people or servers) faster and cheaper.
So more attacks can happen in less time. That does not mean every single hack was proven to be “made by AI.” It means better tools can raise the number of attempts.

• @Ostium vault (mid-Jul): about $18–24M USDC
• @AcrossProtocol Solana side (17 Jul): users said safe; courier/relayer money at risk
• @Allbridge_io Core (19 Jul): about $1.65M
• Then 22–23 Jul: AFX about $24.15M + Verus about $7.54M + B² about $3.86M
Altcoins need trust and calm money flow to pump.
Many hack headlines work against that.
