If it were only short-term trading, it would be completely possible to just buy on exchanges. But many institutions prefer to complete the transactions via OTC. The reason is simple: to avoid impacting the market price, and it also indicates that the buy size is large enough

OTC buy orders mean that selling pressure is being absorbed. OTC doesn’t directly push up the candlestick chart, but it reduces the amount of tokens that will flow into exchanges in the future

At present, on-chain spot demand is improving, but overall trading volume still hasn’t recovered to the level of a bull market. In other words, institutions and large capital are already positioning in advance
