7.23 Gold Midday Report: Early-session low-level stabilization strategy precisely delivered; narrow-range sideways consolidation
The morning forecast that gold prices would fall, then stabilize and trade in a range was completely correct. After the price probed down to the 4112 support level, it stopped falling and rebounded. Throughout the day, it maintained narrow-range sideways consolidation, with price action fully matching the forecast.
Technical analysis: On the 30-minute chart, the Bollinger upper band is 4141.19 and the middle band is 4129.05; on the 1-hour chart, the upper band is 4157.19 and the middle band is 4131.07. The Bollinger channels narrowed and moved sideways, with gold holding above the Bollinger middle band. The RSI returned to a neutral range, and bullish/bearish power is balanced.
The oscillation range is 4112–4141. Overhead resistance is 4131 and 4141; support is 4129 and 4112.
Keke’s suggestion: In the afternoon, still focus on pullbacks for going long. Go long around 4110–4120, with targets at 4135 and 4165. If it breaks down, look for above 4180. If the rebound is capped, you can do a small-position short for range-trading arbitrage. In a choppy market, strictly control position sizing and set a stop-loss strictly.
