Do you ever feel like: sometimes, you’ve already given it your all, made a lot of effort—but the other person thinks, you did nothing?

Like this guy. He has already done everything he can, but his girlfriend still says, “What am I supposed to want from you?”
This guy’s monthly salary is seven or eight thousand.
Because of work, the two of them can only be long-distance.
Every time it’s a day off,
he will drive for more than two hours to see his girlfriend.
On his girlfriend’s birthday,
say she wants an Apple Watch, wants a gold ring,
he buys them half a month early, gets everything ready.
And to buy these things, his wages were almost completely spent!
Even when he didn’t have enough money, he still asks his parents for it.
But on the day of her birthday, because he got off work too late!
He didn’t have time to buy a cake, and didn’t have time to buy flowers either!
His girlfriend got angry because of it!
Later, the two of them ended up fighting over it too.
His girlfriend said something: “If I’m following you, what am I gaining? I’m the one keeping you company through hardship.”
At that point, the guy felt really wronged!
Because he thought he had already given everything he could.
Brother Mao is thinking:
In a relationship, in the end, should you look at:
how much you’ve contributed?
Or:
how much the other person can actually feel?
Sometimes,
you’ve already given it your all.
But the other person thinks
you did nothing at all.
And sometimes, maybe
a flower,
a cake,
turns out to be more important than just a few thousand dollars.
If it were you,
do you think the problem lies with the guy, or the girl?
(Brother Mao himself has also felt it before—trying hard to do everything well, but his ex-girlfriend didn’t buy it, felt like it was as if nothing was done. I won’t go into it here.)
