Cathie Wood: Even though SpaceX’s stock price has fallen 48%, it could still become the “most important company in history”
PANews July 23 — According to Bitcoin.com News, Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, said in an interview with Fox Business that SpaceX could become “the most important company in global history,” even though its stock price is down about 48% from its peak to $116.95, roughly 13% below its IPO price of $135. Wood noted that Starlink, space launches, and orbital data centers will present a huge opportunity: Starlink, as a global communications network, has about 70% of the in-orbit satellite share, while orbital data centers can reduce compute costs and support the development of advanced AI models. SpaceX has already been leasing its data center compute capacity to companies such as Anthropic and Google.
Since SpaceX listed, Ark has bought about $80 million in total, and in the recent downturn it added another $20.5 million. SpaceX will release its first quarterly earnings report on August 4. Starting August 6, the lock-up period for approximately 911.5 million shares of internal stock will begin to expire, involving a market value of about $116 billion, which is seen as the next key test for the share price.
