7.23 Morning Trading Plan

Yesterday, driven by the positive news from the U.S. crypto bill that got settled, BTC surged and tested 66,900, but then lost momentum and couldn’t push higher. Many funds that made short-term profits went straight away to lock in gains and left the market, and now price is stuck around 66,000, oscillating back and forth.
This rally is purely sentiment driven by news. The order book volume simply didn’t keep up, and no large out-of-market capital has stepped in. After the hype from the positive news runs its course, the upward push directly lacks fuel. The only good news is that spot BTC/USDT (ETH/USDT not specified) in the second coin has seen consecutive 6 days of net inflows, with institutions quietly accumulating at lower levels. On the downside, selloffs are being constrained within the chop range.

BTC dips on the 66,600–67,300 zone, and the target is around 65,200–64,700.
ETH dips on the 1,960–2,000 zone, and the target is around 1,900–1,860.

Bro, your analysis is spot on. Once the “good news” has fully played out, it turns into a bearish signal—because “good news already priced in” usually means upside is exhausted and downside comes next. As for BTC around 66,000, this level has been repeatedly shaking traders. Personally, I think we should first look at support at 64,500—if it can’t break, then consider going long. For those with short positions, set your take-profit orders—don’t be greedy.

Short orders near 66,600 have been placed, with the stop-loss set at 67,500. If the U.S. session tonight still fails to break above, then it should be fine. The low-level accumulation signal from “èr bǐng” is worth paying attention to, but chasing a long is not.

Short-term sentiment-driven pump definitely doesn’t last. Funds move fast—there’s nothing wrong with the short position setup for this round.
