Bitcoin ETFs Add $203 Million as Assets Climb Above $80 Billion
U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs extended their winning streak to six trading days with $203.14 million in net inflows on Tuesday. Ether, XRP, and solana funds also attracted fresh capital, while HYPE ETFs returned to activity with a modest outflow.
Key Takeaways
Crypto ETFs add $252 Million as Demand Broadens Beyond Bitcoin
The institutional bid for crypto showed little sign of fading. Investors added capital across most major spot ETF categories on Tuesday, July 21, pushing bitcoin fund assets above $80 billion and lifting demand for several large altcoins.
Bitcoin ETFs remained at the center of the move. The group attracted $203.14 million, marking its sixth consecutive session of net inflows.
Blackrock Captures Most of the Bitcoin Demand
Blackrock’s IBIT dominated the session with a $163.89 million inflow, accounting for more than 80% of the category’s daily total. Fidelity’s FBTC followed with $23.11 million. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB added $9.69 million, while Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust received $6.46 million.
No bitcoin ETF recorded a net outflow during the session, as trading activity also strengthened. Total value traded reached $2.03 billion, up from $1.74 billion a day earlier. Combined net assets closed at $80.94 billion, compared with $79.16 billion on Monday.
The figures suggest that institutional demand remains concentrated in the largest products. Blackrock’s fund, in particular, continues to absorb a significant share of new allocations.
Ether Extends Its Streak as Altcoin Flows Rise
Ether ETFs posted a third consecutive day of net inflows, adding $37.47 million.
Blackrock’s ETHA attracted $52.79 million, but the category’s gain was reduced by a $15.32 million withdrawal from Fidelity’s FETH. Total trading value reached $645.28 million, while net assets ended the day at $10.48 billion.
XRP ETFs brought in $5.66 million. The entire inflow went to Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ, which was the only product in the category to record a net addition. XRP ETF trading volume totaled $19.16 million, with combined assets closing at $1.06 billion.
Solana exchange-traded funds (ETFs) also gained ground, attracting $5.83 million. Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for most of the inflow. Total value traded reached $56.54 million, while net assets rose to $912.74 million.
HYPE ETFs moved in the opposite direction. The category recorded a $698,040 outflow after reporting no activity in the previous session. The withdrawal came entirely from 21Shares’ THYP. HYPE ETF trading volume totaled $9.62 million, with net assets closing at $306.30 million.
Tuesday’s flows reinforced a familiar pattern. Bitcoin continued to command the largest institutional allocations, while ether and selected altcoin products benefited from a broader, though more measured, expansion in demand.
