Major breakthrough: Trump agrees to add ethical provisions to the “Clarity Act,” limiting officials from engaging in crypto speculation, clearing the biggest legislative hurdle (previously blocked due to his family’s crypto income).

Current progress: The bill has passed the House and is awaiting a vote in the Senate.

Time is tight: With only a few weeks left before the August recess, the probability of passage this year is about 43%.

Core significance: The bill is intended to clarify crypto regulatory rules; if passed, it will end the current state of regulatory ambiguity, which would be a major positive for the industry. #特朗普同意Clarity法案纳入伦理条款

Judging from the 43% probability, whether it can pass before August is still a 50-50 split, but at least the direction is clear—before the regulatory shoe drops, move quickly to set up your plan.

To be honest, rules that officials can’t just freely trade cryptocurrencies should have existed long ago. If the Clarity Act can genuinely end the ambiguity, then the biggest upside for this year is it.

Finally, there has been substantive progress; once the ethics clauses were added, it’s like giving the market a dose of reassurance.
