#夏日创作营 Over the past two days, Korean stocks have stabilized and rebounded. We have observed signs that the deleveraging process in Korean stocks is showing marginal stabilization.
1️⃣ Financing balance
Since July 8, it has declined for 8 consecutive days by 3.6 trillion KRW and contracted by 10%, and then it turned to rebound.
2️⃣ The size of leveraged ETFs has shrunk by 55% from its peak and fallen back to the level of this year’s May; in recent days, the pace of the decline has shown marginal stabilization. Moreover, retail investors have switched from net subscriptions to net redemptions, meaning the decrease in scale is no longer contributed solely by falling prices.
3️⃣ Foreign capital has started turning to buying; since July 8, it has accumulated net purchases of 2.7 trillion KRW.
4️⃣ The forced liquidation amount has fallen somewhat. It dropped from the July 9 peak of 142.2 billion KRW, accounting for 11% of trading arrears, to 59.6 billion KRW on July 21, accounting for 6%.
