Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 22, according to Bloomberg, CertiK’s latest report on blockchain security shows that in the first half of 2026, a total of 52 incidents of violent “wrench attacks” against digital asset holders worldwide were recorded (i.e., forcing victims to hand over cryptocurrencies under physical threats). This is a 33% year-on-year increase. Among them, France accounted for 33 attack cases, alone representing nearly two-thirds of the total, making it the most severely affected country globally. The report said that the targets of crypto criminals’ attacks are shifting from digital wallets to individuals holding crypto in real life, and violent methods are becoming increasingly common.
