A rumor has recently been circulating online: “Actor Huang Xiaoming invested 100 million yuan when Changxin Technology was valued at about 20B yuan, and after listing he is up by more than 10 billion yuan.” But at present, some media have already verified with insiders, saying this claim is untrue—it’s just a misreport caused by people with the same name.
The real situation is:
A “Huang Xiaoming” name did indeed appear in Changxin Technology’s shareholder list;
but this Huang Xiaoming is not actor Huang Xiaoming, but a professional manager with a background in the industry who previously served as a related executive at Midea.
The online article mixed “Huang Xiaoming among the shareholders” with actor Huang Xiaoming, and then fabricated a story about “a celebrity betting on domestic chips and making billions.”
