Anthropic supports the FCA “Super Sandbox” second batch of AI experimental projects
Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 22, according to an official FCA announcement, Anthropic will provide the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) “Super Sandbox” second batch of participating firms with access to Claude products (including Claude Code and Claude Cowork) to accelerate their AI development.
A total of 21 institutions were selected for the second batch, including Scottish Widows, Money Advice Trust, and TrueLayer. The number of applications for this round increased by 51% compared with the first batch, with 199 applications received in total. Participating firms will test AI solutions in the following areas: agent payment security, fraud and financial crime detection, AI governance and accountability, expanding access to financial services for vulnerable groups, and compliance and business automation.
In addition, the FCA has also launched “Agentic Academy” — a 10-week AI-focused training program co-hosted by the FCA and the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE). Participating firms will continue to receive support from NayaOne’s digital sandbox infrastructure and NVIDIA accelerated computing resources.
