Deep Tide TechFlow update: On July 22, the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Administration, the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission jointly issued the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Standards System Construction Guidance (2026–2028). It states that by 2028, focusing on key areas including AI foundational support, core technologies, and industry applications, Shanghai will take the lead in or participate in more than 3 international standards, more than 10 national standards, and more than 20 industry standards, with a national standard participation rate of 50% or higher. It will build a number of standardized technical organizations and standardized application pilot projects, with a target implementation rate for key standard applications of 80% or higher. It will also promote bidirectional empowerment between AI and standardization to enhance the intelligent, digital level of standards, and initially build an AI “standards highland” with international influence.
