Trade Journal | Yesterday’s Review

Yesterday’s short positions weren’t an easy trade.

After entering, the price action didn’t drop right away. Instead, it kept squeezing higher, and market sentiment became extremely extreme for a while.

Throughout the entire process, I didn’t change my trading logic because of short-term price swings. On the premise that risk stayed controllable, I adjusted my position in batches according to plan, and I consistently stuck to my trading system.

In the end, as the market returned to expectations, the shorts closed in profit and exited smoothly.

Many people think making money by going short is easy.

Actually, it’s the opposite.

Shorting often tests patience more than going long, and it tests discipline even more.

Because an uptrend can be driven by emotion, while a down move more often requires waiting for the market’s emotional release.

Yesterday’s biggest takeaway wasn’t profit.

It was that, under pressure, I didn’t get led astray by emotion, and I didn’t give up on my trading plan because of short-term volatility.

Trading is never about who can predict better.

It’s about who can persist to the end when the timing is right.

Continue to respect the market, strictly follow discipline, and patiently wait for the next opportunity that belongs to us.
