Golden Finance reported that on July 22, the Polygon Foundation announced that the Ithaca hard fork has been successfully deployed to the Amoy testnet, and plans to launch on the Polygon mainnet on July 29 at 22:00, releasing corresponding to block 50,185,000 on the Polygon mainnet.
This upgrade will make payments on Polygon more reliable: an automatic failover mechanism can keep transactions running smoothly even if block producers stall in extremely rare cases; new security measures can intercept transactions that could potentially slow down the network or disrupt its stability; node operators will also gain better visibility so that everything runs seamlessly at the underlying layer. All node operators should complete the upgrade as soon as possible to ensure compatibility and network security.
