7.22 midday analysis

BTC peaked in this round at 66,924, hitting the upper Bollinger Band and facing resistance. The price gradually pulled back and is currently running around 65,903. Ethereum also surged to 1,953, met resistance and fell back; the current price is 1,918. The two are highly synchronized in their price action: during the rise, volume kept expanding; after topping out, bullish momentum weakened. Consecutive bearish candles formed, indicating a shift into a high-level pullback phase. The 4-hour Bollinger Bands are still opening upward. Overall, the broader uptrend structure has not been broken for now. We are currently in a high-range consolidation pullback after an upswing. The key focus is testing support at the Bollinger middle band.

Price pulled back from 66,916 on the upper Bollinger Band and is gradually moving toward the middle band at 65,358. The middle band is the short-term core strength/weakness line. As long as it holds above the middle band, the market maintains a bullish range-trading structure, with a chance for a second attempt to break the prior high. Only if there is an effective breakdown of the middle band will the downside room expand, leading to a test of the 64,500 range. Ethereum is also moving lower from resistance at 1,952 on the upper Bollinger Band; there is still a small space of about until the middle band at 1,898. Follow the linkage with BTC as the main driver, with 1,898 as the key support. If it holds, the market will repair via consolidation; if it breaks, it opens the door to a deeper correction. The large trend bullish structure is still intact, but in the short term there is a lack of steam after the highs. For now, prioritize pullback confirmation of support. There may be data disturbances later in the evening, which will intensify short-term range volatility. Don’t chase the highs; wait for the pullback support to observe for order flow/acceptance. If a bounce meets resistance, that area may present high short opportunities.

The analysis is spot-on—first look for the pullback to confirm, don’t rush to chase the rally. Wait until around 65,700 to go long, which is comparatively safer.

The support in the mid-range is very important; once it holds, keep going long.

This surge-up and pullback is normal. The upper Bollinger Band is clearly suppressing price. The bullish structure is still intact, but momentum is weakening. There’s data coming tonight, so consolidation will intensify. According to the strategy, it’s safer to go long after a pullback into the 65,400–65,700 range. For ETH, 1,890–1,910 is also a good spot.
