Deep Tide TechFlow update: On July 22, the crypto financial services firm Galaxy Digital announced the establishment of a $5 million “Bitcoin Quantum Readiness Initiative” fund to support developers in researching and deploying protective solutions to address future quantum computing risks. Key focus areas include anti-quantum signature mechanisms, wallet migration tools, and security audits.

The report said that while quantum computing is not yet sufficient to threaten the Bitcoin network, technological progress has already driven the industry to plan for post-quantum cryptography standards in advance. According to research from CryptoQuant, if Bitcoin’s current cryptographic system is eventually broken by quantum computing, about 6.9 million BTC could be at risk.
