Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry’s technology support for a 100,000-ton-per-year rare earth butadiene rubber unit has been successfully put into operation.

Recently, relying on technology independently developed by the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (referred to as the “Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry”), the 100,000-ton-per-year rare-earth cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber unit of Yushanzi Petrochemical successfully passed commissioning. The unit’s output across the entire line met performance requirements, and it produced stable, top-grade rare-earth cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber products. This achievement represents a breakthrough in bringing the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry’s original research over more than 60 years in the field of rare-earth catalytic synthesis of rubber to large-scale production.
