📈 Micron Stock Jumps 12%
Micron Technology (MU) shares surged more than 12% on Tuesday, driven by a bullish note from Bank of America and a broad rally across memory and storage stocks.
BofA analyst Vivek Arya reaffirmed a "Buy" rating and raised the price target to $1,550. The standout point in his note: the rise of low-cost, open-source Chinese AI models could actually boost demand for memory chips rather than reduce it. (Invezz)
Other supporting factors:
HBM memory supply is expected to stay tight through at least 2027, which could support pricing, margins, and earnings (Coinpaper)
Micron could potentially repurchase more than 40% of its shares by the end of 2028 (Coinpaper)
Markets are watching big tech earnings this week (including Alphabet) for signals on continued AI infrastructure spending
The stock closed around $971, up roughly 12.17% on the day.
