GF Futures: Under the expectation of styrene production cuts, valuation may see a potential rebound or repair

With profits in the styrene industry compressing sharply again, the restart of some previously overhauled units has been delayed, or some mainstream units have reduced load. Expectations for supply-side tightness are being squeezed; on the demand side, terminal orders are weak, the three major downstream sectors are running at low rates, and expectations for overseas exports are also declining. In the short term, demand-side support is weak. Overall, for July, expectations for styrene supply and demand are somewhat loose. Port inventories have increased recently, and there is limited styrene-related impetus. However, under expectations of reduced production in styrene plants, the price spread between styrene and pure benzene may see a potential rebound. (GF Futures)
