According to China Customs data: In June 2026, China’s stainless steel import volume was about 120.2k tons, up 29.1k tons month-over-month, a 31.9% increase; year-over-year it rose by 10.8k tons, a 9.8% increase. Export volume was about 446.3k tons, up 30.6k tons month-over-month, a 7.4% increase; year-over-year it increased by 56.3k tons, a 14.4% increase. Net export volume was about 326k tons, up 1.5k tons month-over-month, a 0.5% increase; year-over-year it increased by 45.6k tons, a 16.2% increase. From January to June 2026, China’s stainless steel imports totaled about 757k tons, down 70.4k tons year-over-year, an 8.5% decrease; exports totaled about 2.06M tons, down 441k tons year-over-year, a 17.6% decrease; net exports totaled about 1.3M tons, down 370.6k tons year-over-year, a 22.2% decrease.
