Samsung plans to invest 200 billion KRW in South Korea to build an HVAC factory
Odaily Planet Daily reports: Industry insiders say Samsung Electronics plans to build a new HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) manufacturing plant within its campus in Gwangju, South Korea, to accelerate expansion of its enterprise-to-enterprise central air conditioning business.
Reports say Samsung has recently submitted an application to the local government for a construction permit for new facilities at the Gwangju campus. The project is expected to invest about 200 billion KRW, aiming to strengthen HVAC system production capacity, including cooling equipment for AI data centers. (China Economic Information Service)
