This week’s 150-day window for the 10% global tariff Trump proposed is almost up, so he’s preparing to roll out a new round of tariffs that would hit dozens of countries. According to Financial Times, this tariff is likely to remain at the same 10% level.

This time, White House advisers are looking for every way to talk him out of it. They’re worried that repeating the economic shock from the previous round would seriously impact the upcoming midterm election.
But even so, the Trump administration apparently doesn’t want to stop there. They’re still looking for ways to get around the law to push this tariff even higher in the coming period.
