In a perfect communist society, everyone is absolutely equal.

One day, Xiaoming got up in the morning and found there was no bread at home. He ran to the state-run store, where there was already a line stretching 500 meters outside.
After waiting for a full 6 hours, it was finally his turn.
The clerk said without any expression: “Comrade, we’re sold out of bread today.”
Xiaoming sighed: “No problem. I’ll come early tomorrow.”
The clerk nodded: “Yes, everyone must be equal—we can’t do anything special.”
Xiaoming went back home and told his wife: “Today I’m really lucky. Waiting in line felt especially rewarding.”
His wife asked, “Why?”
Xiaoming: “Because I was at the very front of the line—the first to know the bread was sold out. That’s a privilege!”
His wife replied coldly: “Then remember to save me a ‘first to know’ spot tomorrow, too.”
