《My First Year in Crypto: I Paid for the Three Most Expensive Lessons》
$HYPE It shook again, and you’re staring at the screen thinking about rushing in to grab a quick profit.
But what I want to say is that the moment I touched the contract, all I could think was: the higher the leverage, the faster it doubles.
In the end, on the third day after opening the account, I lost half my position. When I looked back, it wasn’t bad luck at all—it was simply that I never had any risk-control concept.
The first lesson: I changed how I played and went all-in to bet on direction.
I split my funds into ten parts, and used only one each time.
Even if I opened a position in the wrong direction, it wouldn’t hurt the principal. Once my mindset stabilized, my decision quality naturally improved.
The second lesson: it cured my habit of losing and then refusing to exit—thinking I’d earn back profits, and only running when I finally did.
I set strict rules: if the unrealized loss reaches the line, I exit immediately—no waiting for a rebound.
The first few times executing it felt excruciating, but it really helped me avoid several big selloffs.
The third lesson: I took a huge fall on altcoins.
Later, I only focused on BTC and Ethereum. Liquidity is better, information is more transparent, and it’s less likely to get manipulated into a squeeze.
Now I’m no longer dreaming about getting rich overnight.
First, I control each loss within a range I can bear.
That’s the first step to survive in contracts.
You don’t have to pay all your tuition before you learn how to walk.
If you want to skip the traps, read the comments and avoid them—I’ll tell you which pitfalls you don’t need to step into yourself.
But I know you still want to try it firsthand.
It’s fine—once it hurts, just remember.
Smart people grow their own rules out of other people’s tuition.
