Golden Finance reported that on July 21, during a meeting at the White House between U.S. President Trump and Lebanese President Aoun, Trump said that the U.S. military is “weakening” Iran’s military capabilities “to a degree unmatched.” “They did manage to take advantage of the situation in Jordan; if we had other operatives at the time, this wouldn’t have happened—this is truly unfortunate,” Trump added, but he did not specify who the “other operatives” were. The U.S. military said last week that in an attack on Jordan by missiles and drones launched by Iran, two U.S. service members were killed, and another four were sent for treatment after being injured.
