The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Department of Water Resources and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a yellow meteorological risk warning for flash flood disasters at 18:00 on July 21, 2026. It is expected that from 20:00 on July 21, 2026 to 20:00 on July 22, 2026, there is a relatively high likelihood of flash flood disasters in Yining City, Horgos City, Yining County, Huocheng County (yellow warning); and flash flood disasters may occur in Yining City, Yining County, Qapuchal Sibo Autonomous County, Zhaosu County, Bo’le City, Jinghe County (blue warning). Relevant units should closely monitor changes in weather and rainfall-runoff conditions, and make preparations for the defense against local heavy rain and flooding, flash flood disasters, and flooding of small and medium rivers.
