Macro Market|If the U.S. cuts interest rates, will crypto definitely rise?

Many people see the two words “rate cut” and immediately think:

Bullish for Bitcoin!

But it’s actually not that simple.

A rate cut usually means lower funding costs and, in theory, it benefits risk assets.

However, if the rate cut happens because the economy is rapidly worsening, the market may instead enter panic first.

So the real question isn’t whether rates will be cut, but:

Why is the rate cut happening?

If the economy is stable and inflation is falling, the market may take a more optimistic view.

But if it’s because the economy is facing serious problems, the outcome could be completely different.

With the same policy, different underlying reasons can lead to entirely opposite effects on the market.

Many people rush in just because they’re fixated on the words “rate cuts,” forgetting that when the market fears an economic recession, it actually tends to sell off. So focus on employment and inflation data—don’t let a single headline set the pace.

Indeed, the economic conditions behind the rate cuts are the key; you can’t just look at the superficial positives.
