Chongqing in July is scorching. In the finished goods warehouse of the Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, forklifts shuttle back and forth as brand-new laptop computers are packed box by box, ready to ship. These products made by Da-Feng (Chongqing) Computer Co., Ltd. will travel on the China-Europe freight train to Duisburg, Germany, and then be redistributed to destinations across Europe including France and Poland. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the unified branding of the China-Europe freight train. Chen Binghua, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said at a recent regular press conference that the China-Europe freight train, with its prominent advantages such as fast transit times, lower costs, and broad coverage, has become an important channel for mainland Taiwan-funded enterprises to expand into European markets and markets along the “Belt and Road” routes, helping them deliver orders more steadily, improve turnover efficiency, and expand into new markets more quickly.
