Wu Says learned that Aave has released a new ChainSecurity security audit report for V4. The scope covers core contracts such as the Liquidity Hub, Spoke, and position managers. The report found no critical or high-severity issues; it identified 3 medium-severity and 9 low-severity issues, all of which have been addressed through code fixes or standardized adjustments, including issues where fee rounding could lead to a drop in share price, and small rounding errors could trigger liquidations and increase debt. This audit corresponds to v0.5.7, and at the time the report was completed, the subsequent v0.5.9 version was still under review.

Auditors, you’ve worked hard—you even catch tiny rounding errors. The position manager is safe now; everyone, feel reassured and go for it.

Based on the report, there are no high-severity issues in the liquidity Hub and Spoke core contracts. Medium-severity issues are concentrated in rounding within the liquidation logic; fixing them will not affect usage. v0.5.9 hopes to pass faster.

Three medium-risk and nine low-risk—it's not very serious, but rounding errors could still trigger liquidation, which is a bit scary. Fortunately, it has already been fixed, and the security performance of core contracts like the position manager has been improved by another level.

In this audit, both high and low severity issues have been fixed. It looks like the team’s response speed is good. v0.5.9 is still under review—keep watching.

I’d heard that Aave’s audits are very strict. This time, the Chainsecurity report for V4 found no major problems aside from a few minor bugs. After v0.5.7 was fixed, v0.5.9 is still under review—step by step, with increasingly stringent attention. The attitude of being responsible to users is definitely worthy of praise.
