Stablecoins|The next time you use a blockchain, you may not even know you’re using one

One day in the future, you might use stablecoins to buy things, pay salaries, or even make cross-border transfers.

But you may have absolutely no idea that a blockchain is behind it all.

It’s like how we use the internet every day, yet we don’t particularly think about how data is transmitted over the network.

The United States is continuously pushing for stablecoin regulation; the significance behind it is not just “allowing or banning a certain cryptocurrency.”

More importantly, traditional finance is now thinking:

Can blockchain become part of the next-generation financial system?

If the answer is yes, then the ones who truly benefit in the future may not be just a single token, but the entire blockchain industry.

Indeed, just like now, nobody who goes online would want to think about the underlying protocol—stablecoins’ future is to make the technology invisible.

When the internet first came out, no one was constantly talking about TCP/IP every day. Stablecoins being able to naturally fit into everyday life is what truly means they’ve arrived. Traditional finance being willing to face blockchain head-on shows this space isn’t just self-hype anymore.

From GUSD’s annualized yield to BTC’s volatility, stablecoins are shedding the “speculation” label. Paying wages with stablecoins in the future? Behind it may be a coordinated shift between central banks and commercial banks—ordinary people only get lower fees, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s on-chain or not.
