US stocks opened higher across the board, led by storage chip, semiconductor equipment, and wafer foundry sectors.

Mars Finance news: At the U.S. stock market open, the Dow Jones rose 0.29%, the Nasdaq rose 1.04%, and the S&P 500 index rose 0.62%. The storage chip concept led the gains; Micron Technology rose 6.8%, SK hynix rose 6.9%, and SanDisk and Western Digital both rose more than 8%. Semiconductor equipment, wafer foundries, optical communications, and others also moved higher; United Microelectronics rose 5.6%, TSMC rose more than 4%, Lam Research Group rose 6%, and Applied Materials and KLA both rose more than 5%.
