Today I went to the Jokhang Temple (大昭寺).

Right at the entrance, I saw many people prostrating in full.
A sense of awe rose within me.
The power of faith is immeasurable.

The exquisitely detailed murals, the Buddha’s body, and the construction itself were breathtaking.
As the guide explained: we seek in this life; Tibetans seek in the afterlife.
In fact, this is pretty similar to Islam—Islam also seeks the hereafter.

No matter what sect, they all guide people toward doing good.
I’m often amazed by the power of faith.
I’m also part of an ethnic minority;
I just have restrictions in my diet.

But my elders are different—
their clothing, their prayers, their chanting…
Actually, when they were young, they weren’t like this.
Maybe when someone in the family passed away,
it made them feel they needed something, they needed to have faith.
And faith became their best support.
Life has more power than death; faith is always stronger than doubt.
