Golden Finance reported that on July 21, U.S. stock index futures rose on Tuesday. Core chip stocks in the AI industry chain rebounded, temporarily outweighing market pressure caused by the U.S.-Iran conflict escalating again. S&P 500 index futures and Nasdaq 100 index futures rose during the day. Samsung Electronics and TSMC shares climbed, lifting tech-sector sentiment. Exchange-traded funds tracking semiconductor companies rose 4.3%. Earlier, Nikkei reported that TSMC, the world’s largest semiconductor foundry, plans to raise the prices of some chip manufacturing services by up to 10% starting in 2027, to address higher costs for raw materials, equipment, and overseas factory construction. In pre-market trading, most large tech stocks rose, with Tesla and Nvidia leading gains. Chip companies such as AMD, Intel, and Micron Technology also moved higher. Previously, amid market concerns that the valuation gains of AI-related stocks had been rising too fast, chip stocks and AI concept stocks had been under pressure for several consecutive weeks.
