On July 21, Reuters reported that the Johor state government in Malaysia has revoked the operating license of the digital nomad community Network School, founded by U.S. investor and former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan, and ordered it to stop all business activities in Forest City starting July 22. The project had previously been investigated after social media accused it of helping Israeli citizens enter Malaysia, but after checks, the immigration department said that the relevant members held valid travel documents. The Johor state government said that the license revocation decision was made based on inspection reports, enforcement results, and the company’s statements.
