Many people’s contracts keep losing, trapped in the mistake of “the more you study, the more you lose.” They assume losing money is due to insufficient skills and not studying enough indicators, so they疯狂 add all kinds of trading strategies and delve into complex theories. In reality, the truth is just the opposite: most people lose down to the bottom—not because they don’t understand technicals, but because they look at too many indicators, which completely scrambles their trading judgment.
A while ago, a fan traded contracts for two years and accumulated losses of hundreds of thousands of USDT. When he came to me for a replay review, I was shocked by his chart: MACD, KDJ, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci, and other indicators were all stacked up, with messy lines cluttering and blocking the candlesticks. He was very confused. He said he had basically studied all the technical theories online, did replay practice as well, so why did he still keep losing in live trading?
When I looked through his execution records, the problem was very clear: the most deadly issue with stacking many indicators is that the signals conflict with each other. Right as the market was starting up, MACD formed a golden cross to look bullish, but KDJ suggested overbought and signaled bearish; the Bollinger Bands were unclear—contradictory signals completely disrupted his trading thinking.
After wrestling and hesitating repeatedly, once he finally decided to enter, the move had already played out. Every time he took positions at high levels, even a small pullback would trigger a stop-loss and sweep him out. After exiting, the indicators again fit the price action—leading to repeated missed entries, continued losses, and eventually the account was drained, with his mindset collapsing.
There is no universal profitable indicator in crypto. All technical tools are only auxiliary. At the same time, referencing multiple mutually contradictory trading logics will only keep interfering with judgment. In the end, every trade ends up based purely on subjective feelings, with nothing different from gambling on luck.
I made him clear out all the extra indicators and keep only a minimalist system: the 20-day moving average + MACD. He then strictly followed the rules: enter only when the daily MACD forms a golden cross, and only open a trade once the price holds above the moving average; if it breaks support, leave decisively. After sticking with it for just one month, his account steadily turned profitable.
Trading isn’t academic research—you don’t need to pile on complicated technicals. The simpler the system, the clearer the logic, and the stronger the execution. Giving up cluttered and useless indicators, and sticking to a mature rule set, is the core of long-term stable profitability in the crypto market. #事件合约上线 $BTC
