EPIC is currently around 0.44u. This coin’s previous name was Ethernity Chain; it handled authentication for digital collectibles. Last year, a DAO vote changed its name, with 97% of people agreeing to switch to this current identity. The token was also swapped from ERN to EPIC on a 1:1 basis.

After the renaming, it started pushing toward the direction of tokenizing real-world assets on-chain—moving tangible things like real estate and commodities onto the chain so people can trade them. Ripple is one of its investors, and it also plans to directly plug XRP into this system.

Its business in booking hotels and flights is also part of it: it’s priced significantly cheaper than booking websites, and it can be paid with more than 200 kinds of coins.

Its all-time high reached as high as 3.2u, but it’s now down by nearly 90%. The ups and downs have been pretty frequent these days—there was even a day recently when it rose by more than 20%.

For projects that have just changed their name and started telling a new story, whether they can truly build a real business will depend on whether these on-chain real-world asset ideas can actually be implemented #epic $EPIC
