To survive in crypto, the first lesson is to protect your principal. You can make mistakes, but you must cut losses in time. Even whales will liquidate positions—what about you? So never hold out against a single trade! Stop-loss is just the market correcting your wrong direction. Don’t be stubborn!

Stop-loss is the real skill; the grave grass for those who hold positions is already three meters tall.

Many people treat stop-loss as admitting defeat, but the market has never cared about your pride. When a whale cuts its position, it doesn’t even blink—so what are you stubbornly fighting for, as a small retail trader with only a few hundred u? Remember: if you’re down 10%, there’s still a chance; but if you hold on until you’re down 50%, then you can only end up like a Bodhisattva.

Well said! I only truly learned to cut losses after getting knocked out of my positions twice—back then it felt like the market slapped me twice. Now every time I place an order, the first thing I do is set a stop-loss order. It’s better to admit the mistake than to gamble on a rebound—stay alive first so you still have a chance to make it back.
