Crypto markets are in constant ups and downs, but people who lose money in the long run basically can’t escape these four common pitfalls:
❌ First type: reckless all-in gambler type
As soon as they enter, they blindly ramp up leverage, doing operations at dozens or even hundreds of times. After accidentally making a few quick gains, they think they’ve seen through the market. Once they start losing, they get carried away and average down with stubborn holding; they frequently go all-in chasing hot trends and never set stop-losses.
Money earned by luck will, sooner or later, be fully returned by “real ability.” Liquidation is only a matter of time.
❌ Second type: get-rich-overnight fantasy type
With only a few hundred or a few thousand USDT in capital, they still always hope to double their money with a single trade and achieve financial freedom.
They remain obsessed with chasing 100x low-liquidity “shitcoins” and short-term “zoo” coins, dreaming of rewriting their lives with one speculative move—yet most of them eventually become liquidity bag-holders for the market.
❌ Third type: hands-out waiting-to-be-fed type
They don’t want to spend time studying the chart or doing post-trade reviews and summaries. They spend the whole time just waiting for others to call trades and copy homework.
When they make profits after following along, they credit themselves for having good judgment. But when they lose, they complain about the market and blame the group leader, never reflecting on problems in their own trading.
❌ Fourth type: emotion-controlled trading type
When the market rises, they’re afraid of missing the run and blindly chase at higher prices. When it falls, they can’t bring themselves to cut losses and set a stop-loss—they stubbornly hold on while waiting for a rebound.
All the time, they’re led around by greed and fear. The profits they finally manage to take into their hands are then gradually given back to the market, step by step, in full.
Crypto never lacks opportunities to make money; what’s truly scarce is traders who stay clear-headed at all times.
Those who can earn stable profits over the long term never obsess over perfectly predicting every upswing and downswing. Instead, they know how to strictly control risk, patiently wait for certainty-based opportunities, and strictly follow their trading plan.
The core order of trading is always: first learn to control losses and survive, and only then you have the right to talk about stable profitability.
