After sentiment-driven momentum, BTC enters a phase of testing fundamentals
Market sentiment can push prices up rapidly, but what often truly determines whether a trend can keep going is still capital and fundamentals. Earlier, BTC benefited from the optimistic “stop-fire” sentiment and briefly hit an in-year high of $65,700. However, as market sentiment gradually returns to rationality and macro factors such as rising U.S. Treasury yields come back into focus, BTC also moves into a correction phase.
This shift indicates that the link between the crypto market and global financial markets is becoming stronger. Macro economic data, expectations for monetary policy, the USD’s performance, and global capital allocation can all affect BTC’s short-term performance. Especially during a period of rising yields, some investors may become more cautious, thereby reducing the allocation to risk assets.
That said, a single correction cannot on its own indicate that the long-term trend has already changed. Markets usually need to go through repeated bouts of volatility to form a new equilibrium range. In the future, if risk appetite improves and liquidity rebounds, BTC may regain capital attention; conversely, if macro pressure persists, the market may remain in choppy consolidation.
Overall, this round of rally-then-pullback reflects a dual repricing process of sentiment and fundamentals. The next phase still depends on multiple factors—including the macro environment, capital flows, and investor confidence—and cannot be judged long-term based on just one surge or retracement. #夏日创作营
