Japan is taking another step toward real-world blockchain adoption. AZ-COM Maruwa, a major logistics company and delivery partner for Amazon Japan, has announced plans to use the JPYC yen-backed stablecoin to pay its business partners.

The initiative will cover around 2,300 partners, including trucking companies and drivers, making it one of the largest corporate stablecoin payment programs launched in Japan.
Unlike traditional bank transfers, stablecoin payments can offer faster settlement, improved payment efficiency, and greater flexibility for businesses. The company also plans to support the growth of the JPYC ecosystem as digital payment adoption expands.
