BONK is now hovering around 0.000003u. It’s up nearly 5% today. Its all-time high was 0.0000583u in November 2024, and it is now down by about 95%.

This coin was launched on Christmas Day in 2022. It was Solana’s first dog-themed meme coin—made by a bunch of anonymous developers. Back then, it was just after the FTX collapse. The community wanted to use this coin to re-inject confidence into the Solana ecosystem. Half of the total supply was directly air-dropped to the community, so NFT collectors, developers, and artists all received allocations.

Now the total supply is roughly 88 trillion tokens, and everything is already circulating. There’s no “team secretly holding some back” situation—the supply side is very clean.

Over the years, it has kept developing toward the ecosystem: it built its own decentralized exchange, rolled out lending-related features, and has integrated in collaboration with 130+ projects. It’s not purely an “emotions-sustained” air coin.

In the past two days, trading volume has risen by more than 30%, which suggests attention is picking back up. However, overall it has still been falling over the past week, down by around 23%.

This kind of long-established, community-driven meme coin with fully transparent supply rises fast when sentiment is strong, and falls fast too when sentiment fades. In the short term, it follows the broader market and the heat around the Solana ecosystem #bonk $BONK
