The hour-level rebound setup for SanDisk is still in place, so the short from around 1444 during yesterday evening’s intraday session should be closed a bit earlier.
Has SanDisk finished dropping? No—the bigger trend is still dominated by bears, and any rebound on the short term is only temporary. After that, it will still probe lower and test the 1000 level. Last Thursday evening, it pulled back to around 1300—this is a strong support above the 1000 level. Over the next two days, it will first run a rebound lasting about 8–12 hours. On the short term, there’s no need to go all-in with shorts in one shot. Even if it rebounds again, the highest it will reach will only be around 1500. Therefore, proceed in two steps: 1) take the first batch with orders at 1436–1450; 2) place and connect short-entry orders with limit orders at 1492–1504. Setting a reduction at 1530 to cut 20% is enough for defense.
Where can you add to shorts at the current price if it drops further and breaks below? 1340. Last week, it pulled back to around 1316 and then found a bottom. Over the past two days, that low at 1316 has shifted up to around 1340. So the next time it breaks down through 1340, the support at 1300 will give way, and it will then move straight toward the 1016 area to sell off aggressively.
