📉 Chip rebound up 1.3%, Nasdaq nearly closes flat

The semiconductor ETF rose, but the Nasdaq didn’t follow—an archetypal signal of divergence: funds came out of chip stocks and didn’t go back in, they just paused temporarily. Next up, the earnings reports from Alphabet, Tesla, and Intel are the real stress test—AI capital expenditures, profit realization, and demand expectations all hinge on what the numbers say.
If the earnings come in below expectations, this rally is short-covering, not a reversal. If they beat expectations, capital will only then reprice the AI chain.
