CEX, DEX, and Crypto Wallet

CEX (Centralized Exchange) is a crypto asset trading platform managed by a company. Users can easily buy, sell, and store assets through the services it provides. CEX typically has high liquidity, a user-friendly interface, and features such as trading, staking, and launchpads. However, users must entrust the storage of their assets to the platform.

DEX (Decentralized Exchange) is a crypto exchange that runs on a blockchain without intermediaries. Transactions are conducted directly from the user’s wallet via smart contracts, so users retain control over their assets. DEX offers greater privacy and control, but users are fully responsible for the security of their wallet and private key.

A crypto wallet is an application or device used to store, send, and receive crypto assets. A wallet does not truly store coins; instead, it stores the private key that grants access to assets on the blockchain. Securing the private key is crucial because losing that key can result in assets being unrecoverable.
