Heavy money to get in: In a funding round of more than $1 billion at the level that was reportedly completed on the early months of 2024’s “Dark Side of the Moon,” Alibaba is reported to have been the biggest backer, investing about $800 million.
Stake ratio: With this massive investment, Alibaba has obtained a substantial stake in the “Dark Side of the Moon.” Based on multiple market estimates, Alibaba’s current ownership stake may be between 30% and 40%, making it undoubtedly the largest external institutional shareholder. This also provides crucial computing power support for the “Dark Side of the Moon.”
