Deep Tide TechFlow report: On July 21, Bloomberg reported that although South Korea’s stock market has recorded significant gains this year, volatility has increased markedly. The volatility of the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (Kospi) has exceeded 60%, nearing roughly twice that of Japan’s Nikkei 225 and even higher than Bitcoin. Due to the sharp swings, South Korean exchanges had already triggered the circuit breaker mechanism 7 times as of mid-July this year, while it had not been triggered at all in 2025 and was triggered only once in 2024.
